GV Esports launching event and MOU Signing Ceremony was held at Parkroyal Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The event was attended by a large crowd, including the local mainstream TV channels and media companies like NTV7 and My Game On. Famous Esports emcees, local artists and social media influencers, too, joined for the grand occasion.
GVM announced two important decisions today, GV Esports dedicated to invest RM10 mil in esports industry and appointed Frank Andreas Sliwka as the advisor of GVM to fully develop the local esports industry.
GVM will invest RM4 million for esports sponsorships and RM2 million for the development of local esports roots. Additionally, through GV Esports, they are also keen to expand the esports industry by rolling out academies, programs and various events in the future, said Dr. Yang Mee Eng, Chief Executive Officer of Gameview Sdn. Bhd.
GV Esports will venture into tournaments and leagues both locally and globally, esports production capabilities and even professional esports team ownership.
Besides, GV Esports announced to sponsor for the coming The Kuala Lumpur Major. In future, GV Esports will allocate more funds for Dota2 Majors sponsorship.
